LIVADAKI beach in KARYSTOS (SOUTH EVIA)
This beach is situated on the northwest coast of the bay of Karystos, at about 3.2 km from the town centre.
The beach faces east and it is approximately 200 m long.
It is a sandy beach with shallow and calm water, ideal for toddlers and infants.
All along the beach there is a row of tamarisk trees which offer thick shade.
For the first 20-25 m the water is just a few inches deep and after that it gradually becomes deeper. The seabed is sandy and has a great variety of shell-fish, which makes it suitable for snorkelling and amateur fishing.
It is easily accessible from the main coastal road, which is asphalted all the way from Karystos to the southwest tip of the bay.
From Karystos, we follow the main coastal road west.
