MEGALI AMMOS in KANALA beach in KYTHNOS

It is a fine beach close to Panagia Kanala village. It is located to the south of Chora and can be accessed by buses or cars. This beach has both sand and pebbles, while the seafloor is mostly pebbled. The waters have a very nice transparent green-blue color. It is famous because of the church of Panagia Kanala, which is the protector of the island and is said to work miracles. The Kanala Monastery has a marvelous small forest with pine trees, which is very rare in Cyclades. We rate it with 3 stars mainly for the unique green lansdcape fo Kanala Monastery and its nice waters.
