Orkos in Naxos
Orkos Naxos: Orkos is a beach located just after Plaka, in its continuity.
It consists in a chain of several little calm and beautiful coves, following one another. Impressive red coloured hills behind the beaches are offering to the landscape an extra touch of colour, well-matching with the golden colour of the sand and the turquoise of the waters.
On your way to the beach look out for locals on donkeys and
there are potato fields nearby. This is a remote beach and thus quiet. There is nothing in the way of sun loungers or shops etc.
To the left of the beach stands the beach resort of Mikri Vigla which provides a nice view with its typically Cycladean houses.
The area offers good windsurfing conditions and attracts many windsurfers and has the advantage not to be as crowded as Mikri Vigla.
