Pikri Nero is one of the most beautiful beaches of the Cyclades Islands. Actually it is a set of 3 smaller beaches found in the so named protected little cove, at the south western coast of the island. It offers a pure Cycladian landscape, soft golden sand and crystal clear transparent blue-green waters.

The area is isolated and unspoiled and it can only be accesed by boat. For those who do not have a boat there is a motor sailer offering scheduled cruises, starting from the port (Yalos). There are no facilities around, except from a small kiosk that is provided by the sailing boat for its customers.

If you have your own boat we advise you to visit Pikri Nero beaches later in the evening, when the sailing boat and its customers are left. Then the beach is usually empty and even more wonderful! Then, you may also take advantage of the protection offered by the kiosk.

The cove offers adequate protection from northern winds.
