Nimporios Beach Simi: The flotilla of day trippers arrives by boat in Simi from Rhodes at 11.30 AM everyday. They usually arrive in Gialos harbour, spend a few hours on Simi ‘s beaches such as Nimborios, and then leave, heading back to Rhodes, at about 3.30 PM.

After that, their beach day is supposed to have finished. Those who don’t stay on Nimborios beach a little longer don’t know what they are missing because of their leaving so early.

Simi has very much to offer, more than expected for a single day trip, and Nimborios Beach has a lot to contribute to this island’s charm. This quiet beach is on the North West area of the island and about 4 kilometres far from Simi town. Those who linger on Nimborios Beach a little longer find it harder to leave, as Spring and Summer are excellent seasons to lay on the sun, take a bath in the sea, or just explore the surroundings.

Moreover, BA flights has set new early flights to Rhodes, so Simi is now easier to reach than ever.Nimborios Beach is excellent to take a walk in the morning and then plunge into the transparent waters, quite cleaner than the ones close to the port or in Nos Beach area. Although Nimborios is a fifteen minute walk from the harbour, it is worth taking the effort. Besides, when it is too hot to walk, many people take the bus covering the distance.

There is also a minibus between Pedi and the village. Those who are staying at hotels on Nimborios Beach usually take the opportunity to visit the bays nearby – Nanou, Marathounta, Faneromeni and Agios Nikolaos.Some visitors hire a local guide or a donkey to reach Nimborios Beach from the neighbouring localities. While they explore the area, they will certainly meet the local goats and smell the aroma of the wild oregano and thyme on the hillside.

This beautiful beach offers peace, good waters for swimming and good weather.
