EPISKOPI port and beach in KALAMOS ISLAND (LEFKADA)
Episkopi is the only other settlement of Kalamos besides Kalamos port, located at the northen coast. It is very small and has a tiny port, suitable only for smaller boats (up to 1,5 meter depth) which needs caution because it has rocks... One may reach Episkopi through a new road starting at Kalamos, ascending high into the mountains and passing through an amazing pine forest, terminating at Episkopi.... The whole coast has beautiful emerald green waters and a vast pine forest with tiny coves nested in it. Episkopi has few houses, worn by time, used mainly as summer residences. It is as though time stopped 50 years ago. The residents' boats, a vital means of transportation and communication with the rest of the world, are kept at the small, new port. Episkopi is only ten minutes from the port to Mytika the mainland coast of Aitoloakarnania... The road from Kalamos to Episkopi also leads down to the marvelous little beach of Agios Konstantinos (see separate listing). There, right in front of the sea, there is a small and pretty private church
