Ksirokampos Beach Leros: Xirokambos beach is located in a bay at about 7 kilometres from Agia Marina, on the South west coast of Leros, and 3 kilometres far from the natural port of Laki.

Its particular topography showing sweeping cave-filled mountainsides ending up into a sandy beach with beautiful crystal blue waters attracts the tourists who know the place well year after year, since it is not a tour spot in the strict sense.

Xirokambos is popular among tourists who want to go on an excursion from Kalymnos, and enjoy the soft golden sands surrounded by tamarisks trees, which bring some shadow and refreshment. The place enjoys a stunning view to the mountains of Kalymnos and to some islets popping up from the sea nearby, such as Velona or Glaronisi.

There is a variety of activities to perform in Xirokambos; fishing – there are always a number of spare time fishers-, swimming, and scuba diving. Xirocambos also offers a wide scuba diving authorised area reaching from Cape Soumari to Cape Mavros Kavos along the coastline from Xirokambos Bay to Diapori Bay.

Despite the water sports offered, beach life on Xirokambos beach tends to be tranquil and peaceful.After the natural landscape in Xirokambos, just between the two big rocks veiling it, it is the tabernacle of Panagia Kavouradaina, which is worth a visit in spite of being at the end of the beach.There are several taverns along the coastline and a camp site.

Apart from the beach, the area of Xirokambos offers a couple of interesting attractions, such as the beautiful small church of Panagia Kavouradena and the Palaiokastro, where tourists enjoy visiting the ruins of an ancient castle. Overall, Xirokambos is a destination to enjoy the beach, the sea, and the mountain landscapes in peaceful surroundings. There is no hectic nightlife but the possibility to dine out, to have a drink and see the waves and the moon.
