67-metre steel-and-aluminium Benetti Seasense has been launched at the Livorno yard, with shipyard workers, Benetti’s management, the owner’s representatives and crew in attendance. This is the experienced owner’s first Benetti.
The exterior lines of the yacht are by the Dutch designer Cor D. Rover – its first Benetti vessel – while the naval architecture is by the shipyard’s technical office. The Benetti Seasense accommodates 12 guests in six suites, with contemporary interior styling created by Benetti’s in-house team and the design studio Area from Los Angeles, for which this a first superyacht.
Benetti says that the owner wanted the outdoor areas to be as spacious as possible, to offer the maximum possible connection with the sea. The main deck aft is given over to a big pool with a sun-lounging area that connects to the main salon through sliding doors. Seasense is powered by twin 1,380kW Caterpillar engines, with a top speed of 15.5 knots. The range at 12 knots is 5,000 nautical miles.
