Four great submersibles that open up a whole new world of guest experience on board a superyacht
U-Boat Worx Super Yacht Sub 3
The latest in this Dutch company’s series of superyacht subs (above) is specifically designed to stow on board. The unit weighs 3,800kg. A spacious and high-end interior allows for two guests to take in the extraordinary underwater views in comfort, with a third seat for the mandatory pilot. It has a speed underwater of 2.8 knots and has an underwater reach of up to 100, 200 or 300 metres.

SeaMagine Aurora-3
American company SeaMagine Hydrospace Corp has developed a range of three-to-six-person submersibles. The compact three-person sub can be stored on a yacht, while the large six-seater has reclining observation chairs. The unit shown is the Aurora-3, rated for 1,500 metres and weighing 7,500kg.

DeepFlight Dragon
Employing four brushless DC thrusters, the DeepFlight Dragon lets you ‘fly’ through the water and hover over undersea features. It utilises positive buoyancy to float to the surface which means there is no complicated ballast systems. The five-metre-long unit weighs 1,800kg. DeepFlight will be unveiling a new project at the Monaco Yacht Show in September.

Triton T1650/3 LP
With room for a pilot and two passengers, the 1650/3 LP is depth-rated to 500 metres. Its ultra-low profile, single lifting point and lightweight design make it ideal to deploy from the tender garage of a superyacht.
