Like in every Greek island and in many parts of Greece, Syros Greece celebrates the feast days of various saints and of the churches which have the same name as the celebrated saint. The more important religious festivals are:

The celebration of the Virgin Mary on the 15th of August in Korthi and Vari.

The festival of Analipsi takes place at the homonymous church at the village of Azolimnos.

The festival of Agios Stephanos is celebrated at the cave of Galissas on the last Sunday of August.

The festival of Agios Petros on June the 29th at the village of Kini.

The festival of Agios Ioannis on August the 29th at the village of Poseidonia.

The festival of Agios Panteleimonas on the 27th of July at the settlement of Finikas.
 

Various cultural events take place in Ano Syros every two years.

The Festival of Guitar is organized in Ermoupolis every July and offers classes of various levels, competitions, concerts and cafe-concerts in various bars and cafes of the town as well as many happenings in various picturesque sites of the capital.
A summer Art festival takes place in Ermoupolis in the Apollon Theatre, the Miaouli Square and the Palace Cinema; the festival organizes various theatrical, musical and cinematographic events, all free.
