LIVADI GERANOU (or YERANOU or POTHITOU) beaches in PATMOS Featured
Livadi Geranou (Yeranou or Pothitou) is a beach located in the remote and isolated Yeranos Peninsula. The area is peaceful, with several beautiful south facing coves, such as Liginos and Vagias beaches (see separate listings). The view to Agia Thekla (west) and Agios Georgios (east) islets, is idyllic.
The last two coves at the end of the peninsula, is Livadi Geranou. They are sheltered with sand, peebles and some tamarisk trees for shade. The waters are clear blue and transparent. Above the beach is the picturesque chapel of Panagia Yeranos (Geranos).
There is small taverna on the road up the hill which opens in the summer. Fishing boats from Skala have regular schedules to this beach. Behind the beach there are meadows where orchids flower in spring.
The southwest facing beach, views the islets "Agios Georgios" and "Kentronissi". The beach facing southeast has the deeper shade.
The distance between Kampos and Geranos is apx 40 min on foot, through the scenic coastal road.
