The New Benaki Museum is Athens' window on contemporary art and design. It hosts temporary exhibitions, conferences, musical events, performances and installations.

It is housed in an excellent modern building, organised around a central courtyard, covering a total area of 8,200 m2 with underground areas of 2,800 m2 and an internal courtyard of 850 m2. The exhibition halls span 3,000 m2. There is an amphitheatre capable of seating 300, as well as areas to house the Museum services.

It also has an excellent coffe shop and an art shop.

OPENING HOURS: Wednesday, Thursday, Sunday: 10:00 - 18:00,  Friday, Saturday: 10:00 - 22:00

HOLY WEEK: Monday, Thursday: 10:00 - 18:00 Friday: 12:00 - 17:00 Saturday: 10:00 - 15:00

CLOSED: Mondays & Tuesdays and during Greek Holidays and August.
