AGIA IRINI (KOUTSOUKOY) beach in KARYSTOS (SOUTH EVIA)
The area is called Agia Irini, named after the church built on the top of a hill immediately behind the beach.
The beach faces southeast and at its western extremity there are rocks that offer natural shelter from the sun and the north winds.
The beach is approximately 80 m long
It is a sandy beach with relatively shallow calm waters suitable for families.
Some 5-10m off the shore the seabed becomes rocky and ideal for snorkelling and amateur fishing.
Access is from the east edge of the beach via a steep path that starts from the road.
Starting from Karystos we head east and after the village of Aetos we take the right hand turn and follow the coastal road.
